Based on TV’s Dancing with the Stars, the event pairs local celebrities with professional dance instructors. Dancers compete for three trophies – Crowd Favourite, decided by fans, the Edna Adams Judges Choice, and the Star Power Award decided by a celebrity panel. It’s also a charity event – while rehearsing and competing, celebrities raise money. Funds are also raised through ticket and beverage sales, as well as online and in-person voting.
In the past six years, Swinging with the Stars has raised more than $1,000,000 for hospital departments such as the Breast Health Centre, Physical Rehab and Medicine, and the Operating Room.
The 2026 Supplement World Swinging with the Stars took place on Saturday, January 31 and raised over $400,000!
